What is prikbord.page?
prikbord.page is a collective calendar for underground venues and creative spaces. Workshops, exhibitions, repair cafes, small concerts… anything organized in the city that doesn’t necessarily have a "city-wide appeal" can be found here.
This online calendar was built as an alternative to social media platforms. We aim to provide event info that’s accessible to everyone, without content algorithms or requiring an account. The same applies to your venue: publishing your event shouldn’t be stressful, and no one but you gets to decide whether it deserves to be seen or not.
prikbord.page was built by people who run these kinds of cultural spaces. This site is never truly finished, and our source code is open-source. In collaboration with all venues and readers, we’re working toward an online channel that works for everyone.

Is prikbord.page available in other cities?
Currently, prikbord.page is only available in Rotterdam. However, the open-source code can be adopted by anyone interested in setting it up for another city. Imagine the following: rotterdam.prikbord.page, denbosch.prikbord.page, enschede.prikbord.page… ✨
At the moment, we’re still working on prikbord.page and clear documentation. Starting June 2026, we’ll organize info nights for everyone who needs help connecting their venue in Rotterdam or setting up prikbord in another city.
Find the data for the info nights here.
Who is prikbord.page for?
prikbord.page is for anyone who is done with Instagram and other event platforms that aren’t accessible to small cultural initiatives. Are you an art initiative, small music venue, debate house, repair café, or something similar? Or are you part of the niche audience for these kinds of spaces? Then prikbord.page is for you!
How does prikbord.page work?
prikbord.page does not use accounts and does not store any data. Instead, we’re working with “digital bridges”. When you publish an event on your own platform, it automatically appears on prikbord.page. When your event is finished or cancelled, it is no longer visible on prikbord.page.
At the moment, prikbord.page is bridged with:
- Stager
- radar.squat.net
- Wordpress + ActivityPub plugin + Event Bridge plugin
- iCalendar / iCal
- Gancio
You can find a detailed explanation of the bridges and how to connect here.
This site uses the following frameworks: Eleventy, Gancio, Simple Analytics
The server is based in Rotterdam, NL. Used fonts are Anka/Coder and Adaxi. Both were published under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Who is behind prikbord.page?
It all started with a sunny afternoon in 2025: 15 small and niche venues met up in Rotterdam to find the answer to a burning question: How do we collectively get ourselves off Instagram? After the first meetup, a small core team formed that developed the design, build and texts for prikbord.page.
prikbord.page has been made possible with the financial support of Creative Industries Fund NL (Grounding the Cloud Scheme).
XOXO,
