- Kunstinitiatief
- Klein podium
- Debathuis
- Reparatiecafé
Hoe werkt prikbord.page?

So you wanna be on prikbord.page?
Great! Welcome! In order to get your venue shown on prikbord, we'll need to do 2 things. 1) get some information about your venue and 2) get your events automagically trough the sources you already use. Prikbord.page intergrates with a bunch of sources, so we'll need to figure out what works best for your setup.
Part 1: get some information about your venue
Every venue get's a page on prikbord. An example of this is https://prikbord.page/venues/zip-8/. You'll need to provide the following pieces information:
- The name of the location
- A description of your location
- The address and geo location
- A picture of your fridge (3/4 ratio)
- A description of your accessibility efforts and or limimtations
- Information of a person we could contact directly
- A public email adress (not required)
- A public website (not required)
Either send in this information via prikbord@riseup.org, or whomever you've been in contact with at prikbord.
Part 2: get your events automagically trough the sources you already use
WARNING: please speak to us to get help setting things up.
I publish my events via a wordpress website
You need to install 2 Wordpress plugins first. Your wordpress website then learns how to publish to the fediverse and our backend can import your events. In the ActivityPub plugin settings under "Blog Profile" you can set your "Profile ID". If you share this address with us, we can import your events, e.g. @mycoolspace@example.com.
I publish my events via Radar Squat
We support importing events from any Rotterdam-based Radar group. Here is a listing of all event that are being published in Rotterdam right now: radar.squat.net/en/events/city/Rotterdam. If you already have a group, please contact us and we will import it. If you want to create a group, please read the documentation, it is free to create and post your events.
I publish my events via Icalendar
We can import any standard Icalendar format. We do this already for Varia. An example of an ideally formated iCalendar feed is:
BEGIN:VEVENT
UID:3421557834
SUMMARY:Futile Data. Cold War Current: Kunstenaarspresentatie met Francis Hunger
DESCRIPTION:Francis’ praktijk combineert artistiek onderzoek, mediateorie en vertelkunst via installaties, video-essays, hoorspelen en performances. Momenteel doceert hij Emergent Digital Media aan de Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten in München en is hij mede-redacteur van Carrier-Bag.net.

Some important fields that may not be in your standard Ical feed which we need:
IMAGE: the event imageUID: a unique identifier for the eventLAST-MODIFIED: the last time the event was updated
I publish my events via Gancio
If you already run Gancio, we can federate and include your events also. We are testing this with calendar.klank.school at the moment. Enable federation via gancio in your admin settings > Federation. You can add prikbord via the "add federated source" We are @relay@backend.prikbord.page. If you send us an email with your federatation URL, we can follow you back (r&r=back style)
I publish my events via a RSS Feed
We don't support it yet but it's easy to do, so let us know! We will add it. Ideally, you would include the following also:
- Title, description, start/end time, etc. (the basics)
- An event image
- A "last modified" field, so we know if the event was updated
I publish my events via Stager
In that case, we can make use of the so called "Push Feed API". Every time you change your events on Stager, a message will be sent to prikbord with information regarding your events. To get this working:
-
Within stager, set up a so called "custom publication channel". The URL of this needs to be
https://backend.prikbord.page/api/plugin/prikbord/ping/{youruniquename} -
Communicate with someone from prikbord about: a) what {youruniquename} is b) what the secret is stager has given you after setting up the publication channel
-
Change your Publication settings in stager to enable the new custom publication channel. If the work is completed on prikbord's side from step 2, your events should be synced to prikbord every night.
I use none of the above
Send an email to prikbord@riseup.org or talk to your local prikker, so we can figure something out.
