Commuknitting with Tessa

I want to put together a series of weekly workshops that are site specific. Using scrap yarn and with the help of as many people as possible, I would like to make a knitted slogan tapestry.

The knitting community has been changing a lot since the pandemic, and while knitting club still exist and are active, they also tend to focus on more individual projects. The goal here is to bridge the community with a common project, in the case that tapestry. We would need to discuss what slogan/word the space want or need (thinking of Circularity, but it could be something else of course) The workshop would be around 2h long in the evening. The first session would focus more on the design of the piece, mapping out sections,

sorting scrap yarn, making a pattern together. The next sessions would be more hands on with people knitting a section of the tapestry that can then be sewn to the main part. The participants would be welcomed to bring back their section at work and bring it back next time of course! While I do aim for this tapestry to be done one day, the community process is more important to me than the output!
