Together with Lestari, Balik/Bayan, and Watch65, we will collectively learn and discuss about the Indonesian peoples’ struggle against the fascist Indonesian regime: about the ghosts of New Order that continue to materialize in the militarization, corruption, and state-repression of our people today.

Our night is dedicated to the Book Launch of ‘Unions of Spirits’, a project worked on by Filipino and Indonesian cultural workers through magical realist storytelling and archival excerpts that explores our struggles against similar oppressive forces.

On this very date, we remember the ghosts of New Order: the fall of the fascist Soeharto regime and the brutalities enforced upon our people which continue to haunt us as we fight for justice today.
