Lisette Olsthoorn & Vuur collective invite you to an evening on the topic of wage labour including a communal dinner, a workshop and a screening of the film IN THIS TOGETHER

We know it's annoying to do this on a Sunday, but we have to talk about work. Particularly wage labour. As anti-capitalists we understand that wage labour is fundamentally exploitative (Or do we?). But how do we experience this exploitation in our actual lives and workplaces? And how do experiences differ based on the kind of wage labour you do, the circumstances in which you do it and whether you are affected by racism, ableism and (hetero)sexism? We invite you to an evening starting with a communal dinner, followed by a workshop to engage in collective reflection and discussion on questions of wage labour. We will end the night with a screening of IN THIS TOGETHER, an experimental documentary by Rotterdam based filmmaker Lisette Olsthoorn, revealing the implications of algorithmic management and exposing how work under capitalism puts us in conflict with each other through the stories of Uber drivers in Amsterdam. You are welcome to join for the whole evening or for those parts that interest you the most.
